If this has been posted a thousand times, would you mind helping me find the page to solve this issue? Ive tried searching the site through google to find an answer, but most of the answers I find are irrelevant. The same steps apply for setting up MH (you still need the same controller drivers and LoopBe1), but there are a few extra steps to get it working with Reaper. I know this may be a simple fix so if it is, I apologize in advance for being a complete nub. Is there a setting in Reaper that I should try tweaking? Given the success of bass plug-ins, it shouldn’t be surprising that the market is swarmed with bass VST plugins. On the other hand, guitar bass are faithful real-instrument emulators for those who want to easily have access to realistic bass sounds. In the screenshot a peak level of around -6 dB has been shown. Synthesized bass is common in pop, electronic, and rap music. You can observe this in the Reaper master level meters such as shown below. Leave some headroom for mastering somewhere around -6 dB to -3 dB maximum peak.
Its just after I record that the playback volume is super low. Complete your mix first and make sure it is final before doing the rendering. Because before I even record, my line-in is at the right volume level that I want and everything sounds great. Is there something Im missing? I know its not the volume set on my headphones, computer, or audiobox. I have a set of Dan Dean basses, which gIve me a great selection of. I tried using the master mixer to turn up the volume for the track, but it starts clipping and gets very crackly and distorted and starts jumping into the red. Does anyone around these here parts use Scarbee Black Bass I bought it back in 2007, but rarely use it because I cant get the key switches to work (Black Bass works as a Kontakt instrument).
But when Im done recording and I playback, the volume is really low. Im using the most current version of Reaper, ASIO drivers, etc.īefore recording, all levels are loud enough and balanced out nicely. Micd Cab using an SM57 into my Presonus USB audio box direct into my computer. Im having a few issues with volume levels in my playback after recording a track in Reaper.
